Ballyvolane House is an authentic, shabby-chic kind of Irish country house surrounded by vast gardens, parkland and woods. We host weddings and events here thoughout the year as well as offering accommodation in the main house and a glamping option in the gardens during the summer months. We have been aware of Pearl & Godiva's work for some time and we were delighted when she was asked to style a couple of weddings and a photo-shoot here recently. We were all mightily impressed. She is a genius. Her vintage styling is beautiful, original, quirky and dreamy. We loved her old china tea cups, decorative glasses, all kinds of glass-ware, the vintage table-cloths, the stunning, colourful flower arrangements, the candy displays, the old-fashioned photo-booth and the styling of the wedding blessing in the woods was remarkable. Pearl & Godiva worked on the styling and décor for a recent Wedding at Bellinter House and managed to transform our House into a Vintage Tea Party Setting for the couples Wedding Day.The Staff and Guests at the wedding all loved the quirky décor which suited our House perfectly.Pearl and her team had a lot of work to do on the day but worked effortlessly with our team throughout the day to get the house ready for the arrival of the Wedding Party. Our wedding took place on Monday January 2nd 2012. We had decided to go ahead with our big day with only 7 weeks from decision made to actual day!!! We had decided we wanted a vintage themed wedding with a difference. A friend of mine had had her wedding in September and I had seen some of the ideas she had put in place. When I commented at how amazing everything looked she told me she had used Pearl and Godiva for a vintage tea party. I knew immediately I had to have Pearl for my wedding too and I wanted more than just the tea party.

Our very first email conversation to make contact with Pearl was wonderful. She was not fazed one bit by our short notice to the big day and was full of ideas and questions for us. She made us very aware of how much or how little her services could be used and how she could work around our budget....which was fantastic as I wanted her little touches every where. She has such a great eye for all the details in every corner. Our venue was split over three rooms, dining,relaxing and dancing and Pearl's touches were everywhere.

On the day of the wedding Pearl herself was at the venue setting up at 9am and assured me I did not need to see anything prior to the reception as I would appreciate the WOW factor so much more. She was certainly right there as I was blown away at all the details from the moment

I drove in. From love signs in the garden to lanterns on the entrance stairs, bird cages on the tables and festoon lights hanging gracefully the venue looked amazing. We decided to take a sneak peek downstairs at the dining room and low and behold Pearl was still there hours later perfecting everything. We were both more than impressed.

I cannot rate Pearl and Godiva services more on our wedding day. We spent the whole day answering our guests questions on how fabulous everything looked. Nothing was ever too big or too small to ask and Pearl was always there with a response in record time for our questions. Our big day was made into something so much more special by Pearl & Godiva.

Also please let me take this opportunity to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU so much for everything you did to make our day so special and unique. We really felt you went above and beyond all our expectations. All our guest think we have great taste and eyes for detail but really it all down to you. We both agree it was you and you alone who made the day so perfect and we are so proud that that was OUR wedding day!!! If ever anyone we know is getting married in the future we will be sure to recommend your services and I am personally sad I won’t get the opportunity to work with you again. I first met Pearl when she created a vintage tea party scene for the cover of our summer glossy edition of Irish Country Living. Pearl and Godiva recently styled a candy corner for our winter wedding in Cork. Pearl had such beautiful ideas and we absolutely loved the results. The Candy Corner was a massive hit with our guests, as were the gorgeous vintage tea cups and saucers we hired. They provided both an elegant and fun touch to our reception.

I first emailed Pearl back in July about my December wedding. From the very beginning Pearl was extremely helpful and so knowledgeable. Her creativity really came through when she talked me through her ideas. I was very excited about her selection from vintage tea cups to sweet jars - it was 10 times better than anything I had seen anywhere in Ireland! I was a bit worried about how it would look. But I should not have worried at all. What can I say on the day, I had a peak in the room before i left for the church and was so happy with the display. It was absolutely stunning - Pearl had put together a beautiful candy buffet, but had just added her own touches to make it really beautiful and stylish. All of the guests at the wedding loved the candy buffet, the vintage tea cups and the little touches throughout the reception - like the Wedding Signs & Hay bales. For our wedding we decided we wanted something with a difference for our dessert course. We decided on a Tea Party using beautiful vintage chinaware provided by Pearl & Godiva. This served as something a bit different but also was a great crowd mixer for after the main meal. Pearl was amazing to deal with from beginning to end and had fantastic ideas. Her collection of vintage china is beautiful and definitely provided a wow factor. Our guests were treated to a fabulous feast of cakes from The Cake Stand who Pearl had recommended. All were deliciously devoured by the guests and ourselves, everyone Oooh-ing and Aah-ing at the china and Mmm-ing at the treats. It genuinely felt like a Tea Party which of course all girls love, but I couldn't get over the amount of male guests that approached me complimenting us on the Tea Party and array of cakes. Pearl also provided lace tablecloths, vintage tableware for our head table, our beautiful floral centrepieces, tea light holders and an array of other vintage delights for decoration. One of the big hits on the night was the Photo Booth. I totally recommend this. Many guests had so much fun dressing up and posing for photos. When I entered the room and saw what she had done it took my breath away, I would say she just "got me". She knew what I liked and placed everything perfectly to create what to me was the country chic “vintag-ey” feel I was looking for on the day. I have recommended her onto friends that have already booked her as they too can see what a difference she can make to the day. The difference in ones day to me is in the little touches - she is an expert in this area.

I hired vintage china and other accessories from Pearl & Godiva for my wedding in June 2011. Pearl was really lovely to work with and gave me great advice on what would look pretty. We hired a marquee for our wedding which looked quite bare and uninteresting until we started to decorate it with beautiful bunting and covered the tables with lace table cloths and mismatched china. The marquee was totally transformed within a couple of hours. It gave our wedding a lovely vintage feel and made it really special. I highly recommend Pearl & Godiva to everyone!
